During this time, customers are encouraged to submit their electricity contracts.Īfter 7:00 pm on February 15, 2024, customers who have not submitted a contract will be assigned to a Provider of Last Resort (default provider), resulting in potentially higher rates. Starting on January 5, 2024, and concluding on February 15, 2024, at 7:00 pm, a contracting period will be in effect. You don’t have to do anything, we will look your ESID up for you and begin the process when yours becomes available. This is a significant development as it allows us to begin pricing and contract negotiation once your ESID is released. We are delighted to inform you that ESIDs are currently being released to ERCOT in small batches. The transition of the remaining 30% of LP&L customers to ERCOT is scheduled to take place during the week of December 11, 2023.ĮSIDs (Electric Service Identifiers) are crucial for your participation in the deregulated market.
